PROFILE

Milind Date l 밀린드 다테(Bansuri)
밀린드 다테는 인도 출신의 반수리 연주자이자 작곡가이다. 600년의 전통을 자랑하는 인도의 전통악기 반수리는 인도 전통음악의 계보를 잇는 중요한 악기다. 그는 인도 최고의 반수리 비루투오조인 판디드 하리프라사드 차우라시아를 사사하며 인도 전통의 교육방법으로 음악 교육을 받았다. 밀린드는 전세계를 무대로 다양한 악기의 연주자들과 함께 협연하며 무려 3천회가 넘는 공연을 했으며 그의 음악을 통해 많은 청중들과 교류해왔다. 그는 두루빠드(인도의 가장 오래되고 전통적인 음악형식) 그리고 캬햘(북인도 지역의 현대적인 음악기법)을 두루 공부하였으며 인도 전통 음악 뿐 아니라 재즈, 블루스, 락, 퓨전 월드 뮤직 그리고 즉흥음악에 이르기까지 다양한 음악을 접하며 활발한 연주활동을 했다. 또한 그의 밴드 ‘퓨전 앙상블’의 연주로 직접 작편곡한 작품을 선보이기도 했으며 영화와 다큐멘터리를 위한 음악을 작곡하기도 했다. 그는 한국, 캐나다, 네덜란드, 티벳 등 다양한 나라의 연주자들과 함께 연주했으며 특별히 한국에서는 충무아트홀, 경기도문화의전당, 대구월드컵경기장, 경기도국악당, 일민 미술관 등에서 연주한 바 있다. 또한 그는 약 100여장의 음반을 작업하여 인도, 미국, 영국, 네덜란드, 오스트리아, 호주, 아르헨티나, 한국 등지에서 발매하였다.

Milind Date is one of the most versatile musicians from India. He is known for his immaculate Bansuri Bamboo Flute playing and composing. Milind is a senior performing disciple of world famous Bansuri virtuoso Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. With more than 3000 performances to his credit, Milind has vast experience of performing on various stages and for varied size of audience ranging from 20 - 30 to 30,000 - 50,000. His concerts are energy packed and the crowd involvement is surely exciting.
Milind has studied not only Indian classical and folk music. He has studied and featured in different styles of music from all over the world. An accomplished, versatile composer and arranger, Milind has experimented with several music and dance forms in as showcased in his band Fusion Ensemble. Also he has composed music for several films and documentaries.

장재효(국악타악)
1996년 서울시립국악관현악단 입단과 타악그룹 푸리의 활동을 계기로 본격적인 연주자로 데뷔한 장재효는 원래 전공이었던 판소리와 타악, 아쟁연주자로 활동을 하다 2000년 이후 창작과 콜라보레이션, 외국 페스티벌 참가 등 다양한 활동을 하고 있다. 2006년 소나기 프로젝트 창단 이후 한국의 가장 대표적인 전통악기로서의 ‘장구’에 주목, 장구로만 구성된 작품 <바람의숲(2008)>을 발표하고 현재까지 활동을 이어오고 있다. 그는 현재 소나기 프로젝트의 대표이며 북촌뮤직페스티벌의 예술감독, 음악축제 시나위의 기획을 맡고 있다. 또한 일본 Sukiyaki Meets The World Festival의 자문이다. 

Jae Hyo Chang began his career as a percussionist by joining the Seoul Metropolitan Traditional Music Orchestra and the percussion group ‘Puri’; originally having played pansori epic chant, percussion, and ajaeng, starting in 2000, Chang has broadened his skill set by participating in various creative collaborations and overseas festivals. Since forming the Sonagi Project in 2006, he began to focus on janggu, one of the most well-known traditional Korean instruments; he wrote a music “Baramae Soop (Forest of Wind)”, a piece of music entirely composed of only janggus, which he still actively performs. Chang is currently the representative of the Sonagi Project, the art director of the Bukchon Music Festival, and is the project manager of the See Now We Festival. He is also an advisor of Japan’s Sukiyaki Meets The World.

황애리(소리)
전북 남원 출생으로 93년부터 판소리를 시작했다. 전인삼에게 춘향가를 사사하고 박양덕에게 심청가, 흥보가, 수궁가를 사사했으며 남원국악예술고등학교, 중앙대학교 국악대학 음악극과를 졸업했다. 황애리는 땅끝해남 전국국악경연대회 민요부분 금상(2003), 제35회 춘향국악대전 판소리 일반부 대상(2008)을 수상했다. 페스티벌 봄, 전주세계소리축제 등에 참가하였으며 국립국악원 개원 60주년 공연에서 춘향전(춘향 역)을 올렸다. 또한 수원시 화성연극제 폐막식, 국립창극단 해오름극장, 독일 에센대학교 초청연주 등 국내외 다수의 공연에 참가하였다. 황애리는 하찌와 애리로 활동하며 2011년에 정규앨범을 발매하기도 했으며 이태원 주민일기 출판, 이태원 프로젝트 <판소리의 밤>을 기획하는 등 다양한 활동을 하고 있다.
